Standing at 6ft8 its not hard to work out where the name came from. Based in the North, Colossus started out as the promoter of the now infamous Spectrum Sessions @ Legends (Manchester's Village) where he DJed Funky House. This lead onto work at MMU's LGBT student night Breakout @ The K2 Club (Manchester). And underground night Robotika Exotica @ One Central St (Manchester). In 2006 he was offered a residency too good to turn down, abroad in Alquidia, Mallorca at the P.O.W. where he
DJed funky house/classics for 8 hours every night all season, this really was an education! When he arrived back in the UK, he played La Terraza (@ Willys) and did the occasional Sunday, at the areas leading bar, Silk and rocked the floor @ Ultrasonic at the Pier. In late 2006 he filled in for a DJ and after impressing was immediately offered to promote Fridays at the club. Electrique (Electro House) was born and he ran a weekly Electro event for over 7 months and booked DJs including Ministry's and HouseSexy's Paul Deighton. During this time he played Motion @ The Bootlegger and Bank Fashion the Clothes shop.
After a brief stint of promoter of LGBT night Candi, Colossus left to promote his own uniqiue LGBT event. Society. Which features fire breathers, club freaks, angle grinders and drag queens on stilts... The night has been a huge sucess and Colossus has a huge queer following through his nights. Recently he has made an appeared at FunkQ at Musika alongside Bryan Chambers - Vocalist on Tom Novy "Your Body". - The hottest house gig in town.
As well as DJing Colossus has begun to produce his own material and has completed a full time course in Dance Music Production at the infamous School Of Sound Recording (Manchester).
